Elizabeth M. “Toots” Young, 88, of Allentown, PA, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 in the St. Luke’s VNA Hospice House in Bethlehem. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Robert & Angelina Wakeley. She was the wife of the late James Young.

Elizabeth 'Toots' worked all of her life; she was a waitress, she was a manager, she catered events. She loved to crochet, make jewelry, and garden. She loved the beach,

collecting seashells, and spent much time there. She took a lot of pride in herself and her accomplishments.

Surviving are children: Rosemary wife of Stephen Chiaravallotti, Joseph Murray, Barbara Schlacter, and Heidi Young; brother Robert & wife Diana Wakeley; grandchildren: Rose wife of Giovanni Busa, Robert Chiaravallotti, Jennifer Leatherman, Carrie Britland, Jennifer wife of Jay Goble, Jimmy Schlacter, Samantha Williams, Arielle Williams, and Bradley Molchany; great-grandchildren: Angela Busa, Amanda Busa, Ashley wife of Brandon Dyke, Joseph Chiaravallotti, Natasha Chiaravallotti, Vivien Chiaravallotti, Izabelle Chiaravallotti, Tyler Dockery, Jason Britland, Jr., Katie Ann Britland, Joshua Britland, Savanna Williams, Noah Williams; great-great-grandchildren: Serina Busa and Madilynn Thomas. She was predeceased by a great-great-granddaughter, Arianna Busa.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:30am in the Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street, Allentown, PA. A calling hour will precede the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015

Linda Diane Turner, 71, of Macungie, died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at The Lutheran Home at Topton. Born in Lansdale on September 18, 1945 and grew up in Sumneytown, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Dorothy (Kulp) Hauck.

Prior to retiring, she had worked for American Express in Florida and Sure-Fit in Allentown. Linda had practiced the art of Tai Chi at Manawa Universal Arts in Fleetwood for 14 years. Linda also enjoyed golfing, singing, scuba diving, reading mystery novels, and was very active with her grandchildren and was an amazing grandma.

Surviving are a son, Karl Hunsicker and wife Jennifer of Breinigsville, PA; a daughter, Diana wife of Robert Smerdon of Norwich, CT; sister Janet wife of Jack Brenner of Sellersville, PA; grandchildren Garrett Hunsicker and Gage Hunsicker. Linda will be joining her loving canine companion Tika now.

An open house and Purple Party to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on January 7, 2017 at Karl and Jennifer’s home at 1258 Little Creek Circle, Breinigsville, PA 18031 beginning at 12:00pm and going until midnight. All are welcome to wear something purple.

The David J. Boyko Funeral Home, 10 E. Main Street, Macungie, PA 18062 is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Theron G. Brignoni, 50, of Allentown, died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at home. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Gloria (Beck) Brignoni and the late Ruben Brignoni. He was an avid WWE wrestling fan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by sisters Ruby Beck of Allentown, Anna Brignoni of Allentown, and Karla Brignoni of Breinigsville; step-brother Ruben Beck, Jr.; step-sister Angelina Scieska; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00am in the Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street, Allentown, PA 18103 with the Rev. Mike Hothouse officiating. A calling hour from 10-11am will precede the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Allentown.

Mary A. (Bonnie) Espenshade, nee Green, 73 of Bloomsbury, NJ, passed away Friday, November 11, at Hunterdon Medical Center. She was raised in Sunbury, PA, where she graduated from high school in 1961. She served in the US Air Force after high school. Thereafter she married Ralph H. Espenshade, Jr in 1965. They observed their 51st wedding anniversary last July 16th.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on November 3, 1943, she was the daughter of Robert and Emma K. (Fulmer) Green.

Bonnie was a grade school librarian for the Greenwich Township School District. Later she worked in retail sales at Hess’s Department Store. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and raising koi and outdoor canaries. She was a Facebook regular and was extremely fond of her cyber community.

Survivors: Husband, Daughter, Karen Beth Espenshade of E. Jeffersonville, PA; Sister, Barbara Johns of Sunbury, PA; Brother, Jon Allen Green of Milton, PA; Granddaughters, Abigail Lu Espenshade and Brooke Drake. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Jon Espenshade.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, NY 10006.
